Within D&PA, industrial high-temperature heat pumps are a key technology for decarbonizing industrial processes. Our focus lies on technology development and product formation - from first concept and pilot systems to a fully industrialized, market-ready product.

To lead this transition from development to scalable production, we are looking for a Program Manager - Industrial High-Temperature Heat Pumps .

The Role

As Program Manager, you own the end-to-end program to transform our high-temperature heat pump technology into a turnkey, EU-compliant, market-ready industrial product .

You operate at the intersection of R&D, industrialization, manufacturing partners, quality, and commercial objectives . While assembly and testing are executed by external partners, you retain full program ownership and technical leadership.

You are not a purely strategic manager, but a technically credible program leader who ensures that development decisions translate into manufacturable, reliable, and scalable products.

Responsibilities:

Program ownership & product launch

• Own the full product program from pilot systems through production ramp-up and EU market launch
• Translate business and technology goals into a structured execution plan (scope, milestones, budget, resources, KPIs)
• Run program governance: stage-gates, risk management, decision logs, and executive reporting
• Ensure alignment between technical progress, industrial readiness, and commercial objectives

Industrialization & manufacturability

• Drive DFM / DFA / DFT together with R&D and manufacturing partners
• Ensure production-grade deliverables:
  • BOMs, drawings, specifications
  • Work instructions and test procedures
  • Service documentation and spare parts strategy
• Steer the transition from prototype mindset to production discipline

Contract manufacturing & supplier orchestration

• Onboard and manage contract manufacturers and critical suppliers (assembly & testing outsourced)
• Establish supplier governance, performance metrics, and escalation paths
• Lead pilot builds and production ramp-up:
  • Root cause analysis
  • Corrective actions
  • Yield, quality, and throughput improvements

Quality, validation & EU compliance

• Coordinate validation strategy, reliability testing, and field trials for industrial environments
• Drive documentation and evidence readiness for EU compliance and CE marking , including:
  • PED, EMC, LVD
  • EN 378 and relevant performance/testing standards
• Interface with external test labs and notified bodies where required

Commercial & long-term alignment

• Keep execution aligned with the company's long-term commercial vision:
  • Cost-down and scalability roadmap
  • Product variants and platform strategy
  • Manufacturing capacity and supply chain strategy
  • Service and lifecycle readiness

Your profile

• 15+ years of experience in heat pump, HVAC, or industrial thermal system industrialization
• Proven track record leading complex NPI programs from prototype to series or volume production
• Strong experience with contract manufacturing and global supply chains
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and quality methods:
  • DFM/DFA/DFT
  • FMEA, control plans
  • 8D / CAPA
  • Supplier audits and change control (ECR/ECO)
• Ability to translate business objectives into structured, executable program plans
• Strong stakeholder management skills across engineering, suppliers, and leadership
• Fluent English; willingness to travel internationally

  (Dutch is a plus)
