    Summary

    As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for the full Request-to-Pay (R2P) cycle within your assigned purchasing categories. You ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase requests and orders while maintaining high standards in quality, lead time, on-time delivery, and supplier performance. Acting as a key link between internal stakeholders and suppliers, you contribute to optimizing total cost of ownership and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.

    • Manage the complete operational purchasing process : from purchase request validation to order creation, follow-up, and issue resolution

    • Ensure proper application of supply agreements and framework contracts

    • Understand stakeholder needs and specifications to ensure appropriate purchasing decisions.

    • Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure service quality and reliability

    • Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with Category Buyers and stakeholders for continuous improvement

    • Provide high-quality operational support and customer service to internal clients, ensuring process compliance

    • Contribute to KPI monitoring , continuous improvement initiatives , and market exploration

    • Fluent in English ; Dutch and other languages are an asset

    • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work

    • Effective communication skills with a customer service mindset

    • Ability to manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers

    • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP systems or reporting tools is advantageous

    • Proactive team player with integrity, ownership, and a results-driven mindset

    • Works well independently and as part of a team

    • Previous experience in a similar role or in an administrative position is a plus

You will help safeguard and optimize DEME's operational networks, specifically related to our vessels. That means designing, securing and troubleshooting the critical systems that make our pioneering projects possible.

    You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and security of our industrial communication and OT infrastructure. As part of a multidisciplinary, hands-on team bridging engineering, IT and operations you help to safeguard critical systems through professional network administration, robust routing & switching, and industrial cyber-security practices.

    As a Commercial Manager or Tender Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing international tenders and commercial opportunities and managing corresponding project proposals for complex offshore works. Under your leadership, your team shall analyze the project scope, and develop the engineering, the planning and the pricing.

    As central point of contact you will establish strong relationships with (potential) clients during the whole process. You will lead and manage a tender team through application of our tender and acquisition processes; you will motivate and empower your tender team members from the various DEME Offshore specialists support departments, such as Engineering, Legal, Insurance, Finance, Project Controls. Through facilitating excellent team communication and efficiency, you will support ownership and maximize innovation, targeting a high-quality tender submission and contract. Finally, you and the tender sponsor will take the lead in tender clarifications and negotiations with clients after the submission of the tenders.

    This position is based at our DEME Offshore Office in Breda, The Netherlands.
