Are you a passionate Data Analyst with a talent for turning raw data into insightful and actionable business intelligence? Fugro, a global leader in geo-data solutions for energy and infrastructure projects, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in Power BI to transform complex datasets into visually captivating dashboards and reports that drive strategic decision-making.

Your role

As a Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of coordinating data-related initiatives and serving as the primary point of contact for various data stakeholders within the Europe and Africa region, spanning across business units, corporate functions, and IT teams. Your role will involve working with diverse data sources, utilizing advanced statistical techniques, and creating impactful reports and visualizations to effectively communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.

• Stakeholder collaboration: You work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights;

• Analysis: You perform exploratory data analysis, identify trends and outliers, and apply statistical methods to derive insights;

• Reporting: You create reports, dashboards and visualizations to communicate data findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner;

• Ad-hoc analysis: You respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide timely analysis to support business decisions;

• Data documentation: You document data sources, methodologies and analysis processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility;

• Continuous improvement: You stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and continuously improve analytical skills and tools;

• Training and support: You provide training and support to end-users to help them effectively use the visualizations and dashboards.

Your track record

• You have a BSc or MSc degree in Data Science, statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field;

• You have at least 5 years of experience in data analysis, data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python or R;

• You have experience with Power BI (experience with other visualization tools like Tableau is preferred);

• You have strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques, database management and warehousing concepts;

• You have strong communication skills and you're excellent at stakeholder management;

• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• You have attention to detail and you are accurate in data handling;

• You have strong organization skills and you are able to work independently as well as in a team;

• You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
