    Job Description

    Embarking on the high seas of responsibility, your mission is clear: to ensure the seamless operation of marine crew deployment for our assigned vessels. As the master orchestrator of maritime talent, you take pride in providing qualified crews that not only meet but exceed industry standards, all while adhering to approved budgets and timelines. Join us in Leidschendam, the Netherlands as Crewing Officer.

    You coordinate and organize rotations with precision. Committed to excellence, you navigate the complex waters of compliance, ensuring that our operations adhere to the stringent regulations set forth by STCW, MLC, CBA, Flag state, and our Company procedures ingrained in our Management System. Working hand-in-hand with the Vessel Manager, Crewing Agents, and Fleet Training & Development Officer, you chart the course to ensure the availability of qualified and competent marine crew for our assigned vessels. Keeping a vigilant eye on the financial horizon, you partner with the Finance Department of Crewing Opex spend. You ensure they are not only approved but also tracked, ensuring financial transparency across the vast expanse of our operations.

    Your role

    • You are responsible for recruitment of competent marine crew;

    • You take care of planning activities and ensure availability of qualified and competent marine crew for assigned vessels;

    • You work closely with the (regional) crewing coordinator to facilitate the organisation and coordination of personnel activities;

    • You issue employment contracts for the marine crew in accordance with the applicable CBA and you provide day-to-day liaison and support to crew at all levels,;

    • You ensure documentation and certification compliance is maintained at all times;

    • You take care of the monthly budget reporting for the respective vessels.

    Your trackrecord

    • You have a BSc. Degree or equivalent education and preferably 3+ years relevant experience;

    • You have knowledge of STCW, MLC, ISM, ISPS, CBA and Flag state regulations;

    • You have good organization and planning skills;

    • You are not afraid to make difficult decisions and you are result oriented;

    • You have good communication and language skills in English (written and spoken);

    • You have a customer focus attitude and positive approach to problems, you are optimistic and cooperation-oriented.

    What Fugro offers

    • Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from ?3400 to ?4500. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
