Who are we looking for? The Protein Brewery is developing completely new, highly nutritious food ingredients based on fermentation. We're looking for an intern who is doing a Master of Science in the area of food law and/or regulatory affairs who is enthusiastic in helping us to bring our regulatory submissions to a successful outcome. Combining food safety aspects of our products with both the nutritional and functional attributes to maximize the positioning of our products and ensure they can enter new markets timely and in accordance with all safety and quality requirements.
Internally you will be supervised by our Nutrition & Regulatory Affairs Director and you will work closely with our QA Manager, R&D, sales/marketing and our manufacturing colleagues. Externally you have the possibility to interact with a range of various external advisors, different international regulatory authorities and trade associations. We're looking for somebody with an adventurous, pro-active, can-do mindset to join our team as an intern.
What is the scope on this internship?

Help with regulatory approvals of our novel food ingredients for human consumption in different regions around the world.

Help with organizing analyses and studies needed to obtain regulatory approval for markets we will be commercially active in, when necessary with different external parties.

Help to make sure our ingredients, packaging & production are compliant with the relevant regulations.

Communicate and collaborate with external Regulatory Affairs advisors with regard to ongoing approval procedures.

Help with ad-hoc questions on labelling and nutritional claims.

A Master of Science student in the field of Food Safety, Food Technology or Nutrition & Food Law or Regulatory Affairs.

Knowledgeable in the field of alternative proteins is a plus.

Able to interpret scientific and clinical data, written summaries of data reports, presentations, or publications.

Fluent (written and spoken) in English.

Able to work independently.
