About the Internship

NPS Driven is developing the MH2X hydrogen internal combustion engine based on an existing diesel engine, incorporating modified or additional components for conversion to hydrogen combustion. To ensure the quality and reliability of these hydrogen-specific components, dedicated test procedures need to be developed.

As an intern within the R&D team, you will focus on developing test concepts, test setups, and test specifications to verify hydrogen engine-specific components. You will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute directly the production of our hydrogen combustion engine.

What Will You Do?

• Defining parameters to be verified for components that are added or replaced for conversion to hydrogen combustion, such as ignition system, pistons, cylinder head, injection system, and control unit
• Developing test concepts to verify critical parameters, including dimensional checks, electrical testing, leak testing, etc.
• Advising on the selection of test equipment, taking into account measurement accuracy, cost, and calibration options
• Designing test setups and test fixtures (e.g. measurement fixtures, electrical test setups, and software)
• Write clear and structured test specifications
