Site Coordinator

As a Site Coordinator at SACO Airport Equipment (part of SMA Group) you are responsible for the correct execution of assembly, installation and maintenance activities of storage and handling systems for the air cargo industry. You will carry out these activities together with a team of internal and external mechanics/installers in which you actively participate. You will use technical drawings, instructions and ensure that the installations are delivered safely, effectively and are aligned with the schedule. As a Site Coordinator you will work at our location in Mierlo as well at customer project locations in The Netherlands and abroad.

• Assembly work at the customer's (international) location (40%)
• Assembly work cargo handling systems in Mierlo (30%)
• Travel time (15%)
• Coordination and communication with the project team (15%)

At the project location you are the first contact for colleagues, customers and subcontractors. You will receive remote support from a project team consisting of the Assembly & Installation Manager, Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Lead Engineer. The Assembly & Installation Manager provides guidance and advice in making sure a correct or efficient execution of the work. You are responsible for Maintaining timesheets, For both yourself and other external parties. You also ensure that all the administration is accurate and up to date.

You are a hands-on, technically skilled individual who can easily switch between coordinating and executing tasks. You identify as a proactive problem solver who thinks ahead and prioritizes safety. You communicate clearly with both the project team and external stakeholders.

You will be part of the Assembly & Installation department. This team consists of 14 colleagues in the function of Assembly & Installation Manager, Mechanic 1, Mechanic 2 and Site Coordinator.

What is required?

• Completed MBO-4 level education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a technical, installation, or assembly role.
• Valid VCA certificate, forklift license, and safe lifting certification (or willingness to obtain them).
• Affinity with hydraulics, electrical engineering, and/or pneumatics is a plus.
• Willingness and flexibility to work internationally; assignments typically exceed one workweek.
