Operations Team

We're the ones building trust with every interaction-whether it's a sale, a support conversation, or handling a claim. We make sure prospects and customers feel supported, heard, and cared for. Speed and quality matter to us, and we track our progress closely so we can keep improving. Looking ahead, we're preparing for medical underwriting in 2025-another step in making our service even stronger.

About the Traineeship

Join us as an Insurance Operations Trainee and learn how modern digital insurance actually works behind the scenes.

Over 9 months, you'll rotate through three core teams-Support, Claims, and Medical Underwriting-to build a deep, end-to-end understanding of the entire insurance lifecycle.

You'll work with experienced insurance specialists, product managers, medical underwriters, and cross-functional teams to help improve processes, strengthen customer journeys, and contribute to real business outcomes. Expect meaningful work from day one, exposure to complex cases, and a steep learning curve.

What you will be doing:

Support Rotation (3 months)

- Resolve customer cases using our AI-assisted workflows

- Learn product fundamentals and policy structures

- Identify missing information and guide customers clearly

- Keep our customer experience fast, fair, and frictionless

Claims Rotation (3 months)

- Assist with claim intake, triage, and dossier creation

- Understand reintegration paths and legal requirements

- Work with automation and risk-scoring tools

- Support handling of AOV and P&C claims

Medical Underwriting Rotation (3 months)

- Analyse medical questionnaires with supervision

- Learn risk models and eligibility guidelines

- Work with our medical advisor and underwriting team

- Help ensure we make fair, consistent underwriting decisions

Across all rotations, you will also:

- Map and improve operational processes

- Use data to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements

- Support product and insurance teams with real customer insights

- Contribute to AI/automation initiatives across Ops

Soft Skills & Leadership Development

The traineeship includes structured capability-building to help you grow into a future specialist.

You will develop:

- Clear and confident communication

- Analytical and structured thinking

- Stakeholder collaboration (product, legal, actuarial, medical)

- Effective use of AI tools (prompting, verification, QC)

- Coaching sessions and peer mentoring

What you'll need

• Recent graduate or early-career talent (HBO/WO)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication in Dutch & English
• Curiosity about insurance, digital products, and customer operations
• Ability to learn fast and handle complex information
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
• Comfort with taking ownership early

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in a customer-facing or operational role
• Exposure to insurance, risk, medical, or legal topics
• Interest in AI and workflow automation
