Product Developer

Helmond | Prinsen Berning | 36-40 hours

What are you going to do?

As a Product Developer at Prinsen Berning, you will be the expert responsible for developing new products and improving existing ones to ensure they meet all requirements in terms of quality, composition, price, and legislation and regulations. You play a key role in realizing innovative concepts for our customers in the areas of active nutrition, sports nutrition, and weight management.

Together with colleagues from Sales, Purchasing, Quality, and Production, you will ensure that ideas are converted into successful products that meet the needs of our customers and the capabilities of our production. You will work on projects from briefing to launch, keeping a close eye on both the technical and commercial aspects.

Your Core tasks

• Develops new recipes and improves existing ones based on customer briefings and market developments.
• Prepares and evaluates samples, together with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervises trial productions and evaluates the results.
• Draws up and manages product specifications in our systems (including SAP and Hamilton Grant).
• Ensures correct labeling and compliance with European food legislation.
• Identifies trends and developments in the market and translates them into innovative ideas.
• Provides professional support to colleagues and participates in multidisciplinary project teams.

What we ask

• A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university education (WO) degree in Food Technology or similar.
• Knowledge of food safety.
• Good command of Dutch and English (German is a plus).
• Relevant work experience in a similar position with similar (powdered) products is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP and/or Hamilton Grant is an advantage (on-the-job training is also possible).

• A versatile and responsible position within an enthusiastic team.
• A competitive salary of €3,665 - €5,204 gross per month based on 40 hours (depending on experience).
• Bonus up to €1,000 per year.
• Vacation pay and a generous leave package of 30 days per year (20 statutory vacation days, 5 days above the statutory minimum, and 5 ADV days);
• Travel allowance (€0.23/km);
• Pension scheme (5.15% personal contribution);
• Vitality budget of €250 per year;
• Fresh fruit in the office every day.
