We are looking for an experienced Business Consultant Banking - Credit Risk to strengthen our Banking & Financial Services practice in the Netherlands. In this role, you will advise our banking clients on credit risk management, regulatory compliance, and process optimization, automation, - bridging the gap between business, data, and technology.

Dit ga je doen

• Advise banks on credit risk frameworks, data governance, and regulatory change, including Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, IRB and RAROC Models and EBA guidelines.

• Conduct process and data analyses across the credit lifecycle (credit application, origination, monitoring, collateral management , provisioning, collections and internal and external reporting process).

• Translate business requirements into functional and data specifications for implementation in risk systems and reporting platforms.

• Translate regulatory and internal policy requirements into high level technical requirements and lead technical implementation of risk models and processes

• Contribute to projects in credit risk modelling, data management, and regulatory reporting.

• Support clients in defining and implementing target operating models for credit and risk processes.

• Facilitate workshops with business, risk, and IT stakeholders to define priorities and align goals.

• Assist in change management and knowledge transfer to ensure sustainable improvement.

• Share expertise and best practices within CGI's Risk & Compliance community, contributing to innovation and capability development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in a banking or consulting environment focused on credit risk, risk governance, or regulatory reporting.

• Proven understanding of credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD) and regulatory frameworks (Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, CRR/CRD).

• Experience with risk data and systems such as SAS, Moody's, FIS, or equivalent solutions.

• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business or IT solutions.

• Knowledge of data governance and data quality management is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch (spoken and written).

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary, agile teams.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.

• Familiarity with credit portfolio management, stress testing, and risk data aggregation (BCBS 239).

• Consultancy experience in risk transformation or regulatory change programs.

• Affinity with digital transformation and process automation in banking.
