Summary

We are constantly exploring new opportunities where data assets and emerging technologies in AI and data science can make a significant difference. To accomplish this, we are seeking a data officer who can shape the use cases, capture the user's needs and create intuitive solutions that deliver results. With internal clients as the main stakeholder, you will work closely with data architects, data engineers, BI developers, data scientists and IT business partners.

The domains where data change requests and improvements are needed are broad: HR, Finance, Procurement and Logistics, QHSE, Asset Management or general Operations and can depend on past experiences and preferences. Besides the data officer role, you will be supporting the data science team.

  • Be the single point of contact on all data matters, e.g. data architecture, database, BI reports, and data science initiatives, for your assigned business domains.

  • Define and lead data related change requests independently (with multiple stakeholders & contributors).

  • Lead or be part of a team for a large and complex internal project.

  • Identify new opportunities for improvement on data management, data consumption and service delivery by actively listening to the needs of the business and organizing stakeholder workshops.

  • Facilitate interaction among stakeholders to gather information, use cases, ...

  • Define use cases for data products (e.g. databases, BI reports, data science solutions) and articulate how they contribute to provide tangible benefits for the business and its users.

  • Formulate solution requirements based on information and user input.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver data products and digital (AI) solutions.

  • You have demonstratable experience as a data officer, data analyst, business analyst, or data scientist , minimum 3 years.

  • You have fundamental knowledge on data management, data engineering, data analysis and reporting. A keen on data strategy and advanced analytics is a plus.

  • Hands-on knowledge of AI and data science concepts is essential, and you can effectively discuss and shape AI-driven solutions.

  • You have practical experience in requirement gathering, functional analysis, and bring in the necessary challenging mindset.

  • You have practical experience with Python for data manipulation and/or analytics.

  • Experience with data science or AI implementation (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, large language models, etc.) is a plus.

  • Experience with Azure (or other cloud solutions) is a plus.

  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy interacting with people, actively listen and have good communication skills.

  • You have knowledge or prior experience on change management.

  • You are enthusiastic, have a positive mindset and inspire your colleagues.

  • You put the user / customer first and have a high level of service-mindedness while maintaining critical thinking abilities.

  • You excel in explaining data related matters and simplifying complex problems into understandable solutions.

The Methods Engineering & Equipment and Technology Development group develops transport and installation methods for the different DEME Offshore activities safeguarding technical feasibility, operational efficiency and workability. Additionally, the team develops the required equipment for the projects focused on safe and efficient operations, ensuring high workability and accelerating the pace of innovation. These Developments are coordinated in close cooperation with the commercial and operational departments to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.

As a Methods & Mission Equipment Engineer at DEME Offshore, you are involved with the engineering of new transport and installation methods and the development of corresponding mission equipment. You will provide engineering support during project execution and follow-up on performance and any modifications or improvements to existing equipment.

As a Tender Package Manager lead you will lead the strategic procurement and tender process for offshore foundation packages within complex EPCI projects. The role includes developing sourcing strategies, managing a team of Procurement Engineers, conducting high-level supplier negotiations, and evaluating tenders on technical, commercial and contractual aspects. The position also supports the development of overall EPCI tender strategies.

As an IoT Network & Cybersecurity Engineer, you will step into a dynamic environment where operational technology, connectivity and security come together. You will help safeguard and optimize DEME's operational networks, specifically related to our vessels. That means designing, securing and troubleshooting the critical systems that make our pioneering projects possible.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance and security of our industrial communication and OT infrastructure. As part of a multidisciplinary, hands-on team bridging engineering, IT and operations you help to safeguard critical systems through professional network administration, robust routing & switching, and industrial cyber-security practices.

As a Commercial Manager or Tender Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing international tenders and commercial opportunities and managing corresponding project proposals for complex offshore works. Under your leadership, your team shall analyze the project scope, and develop the engineering, the planning and the pricing.

As central point of contact you will establish strong relationships with (potential) clients during the whole process. You will lead and manage a tender team through application of our tender and acquisition processes; you will motivate and empower your tender team members from the various DEME Offshore specialists support departments, such as Engineering, Legal, Insurance, Finance, Project Controls. Through facilitating excellent team communication and efficiency, you will support ownership and maximize innovation, targeting a high-quality tender submission and contract. Finally, you and the tender sponsor will take the lead in tender clarifications and negotiations with clients after the submission of the tenders.

This position is based at our DEME Offshore Office in Breda, The Netherlands.
