Applied AI Engineer / Data & Automation Specialist

About Studio Vi

Studio VI builds AI-powered products, prototypes and automations for ambitious organisations. We're looking for an Applied AI Engineer who loves solving problems through data, automation and LLM-powered solutions.

You're hands-on, curious and able to turn ideas into working prototypes. You understand how data flows, how APIs connect, and how AI models can be deployed in real workflows. You're not necessarily a research-heavy ML engineer - you're a builder who loves experimenting, testing and shipping.

What you'll do

• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts using Python, APIs and AI tooling.
• Develop automations, integrations and agent-like workflows.
• Work with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases and retrieval frameworks.
• Collaborate with strategists to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Explore, clean and structure datasets when needed.
• Integrate existing AI models into products or services.
• Document solutions clearly and help clients understand technical decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI frameworks and tools.

Who you are

A technical problem-solver who enjoys experimenting and creating AI-powered solutions that work in the real world.

You have:

• A background in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• Experience with Python and APIs.
• Understanding of data pipelines, automation logic, and LLM workflows.
• Ability to independently figure things out and rapidly prototype solutions.
• A practical mindset: you care about what works, not just what's theoretically elegant.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face or similar tools.
• Building automations (Zapier, Make) or micro-integrations.
• Basic frontend or backend knowledge.
• Working with cloud environments or deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with RAG, fine-tuning or embeddings-based architectures.
