The work takes place at Gordijnen Atelier De Nijvere Bij, a family-owned business with a long-standing history. Since 1969, the company has specialised in manufacturing:

• Curtains and sheers
• Tiebacks and decorative cushions
• Roman blinds
• Various other textile-related products

All items are custom-made for the home furnishing market throughout the Netherlands. Craftsmanship and teamwork are key values.

Functieomschrijving

For a specialised curtain workshop in Zoetermeer, we are looking for an experienced all-round curtain manufacturing employee. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) focused on producing made-to-measure curtains and sheers using professional machinery. An excellent opportunity for someone with experience in curtain manufacturing who is looking for stability and the prospect of a permanent position.

Within the workshop, you will be deployed broadly and work together with colleagues on high-quality finished products.

Your tasks will include:

• Operating blind stitch machines
• Working with industrial sewing machines (lockstitch)
• Using and adjusting the panel/strip machine
• Pleating and manufacturing curtains
• Processing blackout curtains and sheer fabrics
• Checking quality and final finishing

This role is well suited for candidates with experience as a manufacturing employee, curtain maker, or textile worker.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in curtain manufacturing
• Practical skills and good manual dexterity
• Ability to work well in a team
• Accurate and responsible working style

Previous experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment is a strong advantage.

What is offered:

• Hourly wage starting  €15.10
• Full-time workweek of 40 hoursWorking hours starting at 08:00 AM till 16:30 PM
• Initial contract for a minimum of 3 months, with the prospect of extension and a permanent position
