Injection moulding is a popular production technique used to make plastic objects. People might not always be aware of such products, but we use lots of items made using this technique as we go about our daily lives. Think about food packaging for example. For injection moulding, plastic is heated to produce a liquid substance, injected into a mould under lots of pressure, then left to cool. Next, once the product has been formed, a fully-automated robot removes it from the mould. Choosing the right material and ensuring a stable manufacturing process are important for the quality of the finished product.
