DevOps Data Engineer - Temporary

Join the team as a Medior DevOps Data Engineer! This all-round, hands-on position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team of engineers focused on delivering commercial data and optimizing data integration processes.

With a focus on efficiency, the role comes at a crucial time during a major migration to a new Azure platform. Immediate impact is anticipated, working closely with a senior engineer to quickly get up to speed.

• Create and maintain data warehouse architectures to meet business requirements.
• Retrieve and integrate data from various sources while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Model and prepare data for analysis, reporting, and predictive or prescriptive modeling.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows (both batch and stream).
• Ensure existing data solutions operate efficiently and meet service level objectives (SLOs).

• Completed HBO/WO education, preferably in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Business Administration, Computer Science).
• Minimum 5-10 years of proven experience as a Data/DevOps Engineer.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Egnlish, Dutch is a big plus.
• Result-oriented mindset and a hands-on approach.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, and Spark.
• Experience with Scrum, teamwork tools (JIRA, Confluence) and ETL processes (Informatica, DataFactory, Synapse).
• Knowledge of databases including Teradata, Hadoop, Data Lake, Hive, and Hue.
• Proficient in data modeling techniques (Erwin, STAR, Relational, Data Vault, Snowflake).

A nice assignment in Amsterdam from November 2025 to end of March 2026, for 32-36 hours per week. In this role, you can either work as a ZZP'er with an hourly rate of € 80-€ 87, or you can be employed via us under a flexible contract, for a salary that ranges from € 6000 to € 7000 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week). Please note that in order to be considered for this role, you need to be based in the Netherlands and fully eligible to work.
