Job description

As a Process Improvement Engineer you operate in a manufacturing plant for medium and high voltage cables and cables for the de offshore wind industry. You focus specifically on the manufacturing of cores for these cables with state of the art production lines. To meet the rising demand, you participate in large investment projects to expand the production capacity. You are the driving force in the optimization and guiding process of the manufacturing. You are the linchpin between R&D, production and Quality and knows how to turn new product designs and process innovations into a manufacturable product. You are part of a close-knit team that works with a lot of dedication, professional knowledge and attention to quality. You will report to the Operations Manager.

The following will be part of your job:

• Analyzing, initiating and organizing of new processes and process improvements;
• Guaranteeing the project result;
• Troubleshooting;
• Organizing of process-FMEA'S for new or modified processes, machines and or materials;
• Inspiring and coaching of interdisciplinary team members;
• Signaling of trends and developments in relation to the TKF product portfolio;
• Dissemination of knowledge within the organization;
• Monitoring and updating of the process capability.

The product

Our daily business is the production of Energy distribution cable. These cables form a vital component in energy distribution networks worldwide. With the current energy transition, you'll work on sustainability goals. TKF delivers project and customers specific cable designs. The usage of advanced cable technologies ensures reliable distribution under extreme conditions, and lowers maintenance cost and malfunctions. In our plant in Lochem we produce cables for offshore wind industries. It is clear that, aside from technical complex projects, the production of these cables takes a lot of knowledge and skill.

Your profile

• You work accurately and quality-oriented;
• You have knowledge of production of medium and high voltage cables for on- and offshore energy distribution networks;
• A completed bachelor or master in a technical direction such as Technical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry;
• A least 2 years of experience in a similar position;
• Fluent in English language, preferably German and/or Dutch (or able to learn);
• You preferably have knowledge of insulation processing using CV lines.
• You have experience with linecontrol and data logging systems like Scada, Historian and knowledge of SPC;
• It is a preference if you possess knowledge of products, machines and materials in the field of plastics.

In addition you have:

• A completed bachelor or master in a technical direction such as Technical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry;
• A least 2 years of experience in a similar position;
• Fluent in English language, preferably German and/or Dutch (or able to learn).
