About Us:

Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam stands as an icon of elegance, blending rich heritage with contemporary luxury. Our pastry kitchen embodies innovation and excellence, catering to various outlets including afternoon tea, banqueting, room service, restaurant desserts, and bespoke sweet creations.

As a Pastry Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, learning under skilled Pastry Chef Sebastian Sabau, while actively contributing to the creation of diverse pastry offerings.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation and crafting of pastries for various services such as afternoon tea, banqueting, room service, restaurant desserts, and personalized sweet requests.
• Collaborating with experienced chefs to learn techniques, recipes, and presentation methods.
• Contributing creative ideas to enhance our pastry offerings.
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards, hygiene protocols, and kitchen procedures.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a culinary study
• Passionate about pastry arts and eager to learn from industry professionals.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to take initiative.
• Minimum internship duration of 6 months, providing an immersive and comprehensive learning experience.
