To ensure service, safety and continuity, Twente Airport is looking for a Port Service Officer for 32 hours a week. If suitable, you will be trained as an Aeronautical Station Operator.

Twente Airport

Twente Airport is located in the city triangle of Enschede, Hengelo and Oldenzaal. The airport is part of Technology Base. Since 30 March 2017, Twente Airport has been a civilian regional airport and the incubator for sustainable aviation and new forms of mobility. For the purpose of operating the airport, there is a port service that supervises the various activities at the airport.

Tasks and responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, under the direction of the harbour master, you are responsible for order and safety on the airport grounds. You will ensure a smooth and safe operation and are responsible for carrying out all primary operational processes on airside including:

1. Overseeing order and safety on the airport grounds.
2. Point of contact for (operational) users.
3. Performing (fuel) checks and (runway) inspections.
4. Supervising the execution of operations.
5. Recording relevant flight data in the airport information system.
6. Dispelling birds on and near the runway.
7. Assist and supervise flight handling and preparation.
8. Coordinating and performing tasks during incidents and calamities.
9. Collecting port fees.
10. Providing pilots with airport information via aviation radio.

What do we require?

We are looking for a colleague on at least MBO 4 level with a passion for aviation who also

• has a great sense of responsibility;
• is in possession of a driving licence B;
• lives within 40 kilometres of the airport or is willing to relocate;
• preferably holds a Pilot Licence or ASO/FISO/ATCO BvB;
• holds or is willing to obtain a BHV certificate and a certificate in Firefighting Small Aircraft;
• good computer skills and knowledge of the usual Microsoft packages;
• has a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing;
• willing to work a roster that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

What do we offer?

Besides an attractive salary between € 2,848 and € 3,683 gross per month (grading based on relevant knowledge and experience) excl. irregularity allowance (ORT) based on a 38-hour working week in a continuous roster (evenings, weekends and holidays). You will also receive 8% holiday allowance, a year-end bonus of 8%, a travel allowance and a good pension scheme.

Contract

We initially offer you a one-year contract with a view to permanent employment, depending on your suitability and performance.

About the team

At the moment, Twente Airport's harbour service consists of a small team of eight people, led by the harbour master. We have a motivated team, everyone knows each other, the lines of communication are short, also with management, and the work is very varied.
