We are looking for a Work Preparator for our Shipbuilding Engineering Department to create the perfect technical base for the construction of the world's most exclusive yachts.

• What will you do?

  As a Work Preparator in the Shipbuilding Engineering Department, you will be at the heart of the complete technical design in the construction of our yachts. Together with the Project Leader and Draftsmen, you will work on the hull construction, outfitting and exterior construction. When working in the top tier of yacht construction, all yachts have to meet demanding requirements. Our yachts are light yet strong, offering maximum interior space and comfort. No project is the same, and within every yacht, you will apply the highest quality standards, forming the crucial link between the Engineering, Production and Purchasing Departments.

  Based on the yacht designs, you will create detailed technical drawings together with the Draftsmen. These will be expanded to a complete production package with your colleagues in the Engineering and Production Departments. You will verify that all drawings are technically correct and meet the high standards of the luxury yacht building industry. Working with suppliers, you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials meet industry standards and are received on time. The Preparator's work ensures an efficient build process and the creation of a product you can be proud of: there is no greater satisfaction watching a Heesen project transformed into a world-class superyacht.

• Where will you work?

  The Shipbuilding Engineering Department is one of the three Engineering Departments of Heesen Yachts along with Mechanical and Interior Engineering. Every yacht built at our shipyard in Oss is unique and, as a Planner, you will be involved in the entire yacht construction - from technical drawings to communicating with yacht crew. The production halls are adjacent to your workplace, meaning that you can view the immediate implementation of your ideas. Working in a close international team, you will enjoy direct communication, an open atmosphere and a shared passion for high-quality with your colleagues.

• You are an ambitious and motivated engineer with experience in the shipbuilding industry and a passion for luxury yachts. Your broad knowledge of yacht construction is complemented with an understanding of the specific challenges of outfitting. You are analytically strong, solution-oriented and pragmatic, and able to work flexibly and independently. Within your team, you will be a strong character able to communicate efficiently and directly.

  Education and experience:

  • HBO-degree in the field of shipbuilding engineering, plus three years' experience in shipbuilding engineering or :
  • MBO-degree in the field of shipbuilding engineering, plus five years' of experience in shipbuilding engineering.
  • AutoCAD and Rhino proficiency.
  • A comprehensive level of English (oral and written).
