We are looking for an Internal Control & Reporting Specialist to strengthen and professionalize our existing internal control framework and financial reporting processes across Europe. This is not an internal audit role - instead, you will work closely with local teams to ensure findings are followed up, improvements are implemented and controls are embedded in day-to-day operations. This role combines the responsibilities of an Internal Control Specialist and a Financial Controller, ensuring that financial processes are not only accurate, but also well-managed and controlled to minimize risks and safeguard compliance.

What you'll do

In this role, your focus will be on strengthening and further professionalising our internal control environment, while also making an important contribution to external reporting. Your engagement will be as follows:

• Further develop and reinforce Plukon's Internal Control Framework, ensuring consistent application across group companies.

• Perform independent review and testing of controls as well as reporting of findings in a structured manner.

• Enhance existing controls, making them more effective and practical.

• Follow up on findings and drive implementation of corrective actions with an hands-on approach.

• Strengthen and standardize monthly closing and reporting procedures across countries.

• Support the preparation of the consolidated annual accounts and external reporting.

• Act as a sparring partner to Country Finance Directors and Plant Controllers, helping them to embed best practices and strengthen the local control environments.

• Collaborate with central teams (External Reporting, Consolidation, Treasury) to align group-wide processes.

Who you are

• University degree or HBO-level education with at least 4 years' relevant experience (e.g. internal control, external audit, risk management or financial controlling).

• Solid understanding of financial reporting and internal control.

• Hands-on mindset: you don't just identify issues, you help to fix them.

• Analytical, detail-oriented and proactive, with strong communication skills.

• Fluent in English (German, French, Spanish and/or Polish is a plus).

• Experience with BI tools (Power BI and/or Qlik) and Exact is an advantage.
