What are you going to do?

Aim of the project is to focus on the following questions:

• Quantification of radionuclide therapy distribution and dosimetry
• Exploration of multiple isotope imaging with TRT and imaging biomarkers of radiobiological responses

The role is embedded within the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at UMCG, and the laboratory for Photopharmacology and medical imaging within the GRIP institute of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering of the University of Groningen. Line management will be provided by Prof Bart Cornelissen (molecular imaging, TRT and radiobiology), Dr Sasha Ivaschenko (medical physics and dosimetry), and Prof (medicinal chemistry).

Who are you?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Postodctoral research candidatee with

• a PhD degree in nuclear medicine or a related field, or working towards a PhD degree
• Article 9 license or FELASA equivalent.
• Strong experimental background in nuclear medicine imaging and work with radionuclides is a must. Prior experience with preclinical SPECT imaging will be seen as a strong asset
• capacity to think analytically and creatively.
• high motivation.
• ability to work in an international team and collaborate with several research centres in Europe in a streamlined and professional way.
• an integrative and cooperative personality with excellent communicative and social skills.
• fluent proficiency in English - written and oral.

What can you expect from us?

• In accordance with the collective labor agreement for Dutch universities, we offer a salary of at least € 3.546 (Scale 10) up to a maximum of € 5.538 (Scale 10) gross per month for a full-time employment contract.
• 232 vacation hours per year, based on a 38-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). You can also work more or fewer hours in exchange for more or fewer free hours. For example, with a 40-hour workweek, you save 96 extra free hours, and with a 36-hour workweek, you lose 96 hours.
• End-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 8% holiday allowance.

• Contract duration: A temporary position of one year with a possibility for renewal; prolongation of the contract is contingent on additional funding.
