Rotterdam is known for its vibrant nightlife, and the municipality is committed to making nightlife safer. Despite various measures, visitors sometimes end up in vulnerable situations. As a security guard at Safe 'R Spot, you are the place where they can get their story straight, find a listening ear and get further help if necessary. In this role, you work together with staff from the municipality, police, ambulance drivers (ambulance staff on bicycles), hospitality stewards and nurses.

As a Safe 'R Spot Security Officer, you are a crucial part of the social nightspot that operates every Friday and Saturday night from 23:00 to 06:00 on the corner Lijnbaan-Stadhuisplein. You will also operate as a mobile post serving Kruiskade, Witte de Withstraat and Oude Haven.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance and a listening ear to nightlife visitors.
• Collaborate with various agencies to ensure safety.
• Stand at the corner Lijnbaan-Stadhuisplein and mobile post operation.
• Presence every Friday and Saturday night from 11pm to 6am.

What we expect from you:

• Proactive, independent and flexible attitude (willingness to work evenings and weekends).
• Security diploma Level 2.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages (both oral and written).
• Demonstrable experience in a similar position.
• Reliable and professional.
• Able to maintain a balance between security and hospitality.
• Team player who excels in a dynamic environment.
• In possession of driving licence B and own car/own transport.
• Living within 40 km of Rotterdam.
