Senior Food Contact Material Compliance Specialist

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and compliance of packaging materials in the food industry? Do you have a strong background in food contact regulations and a keen eye for detail?

We invite you to bring your expertise and energy to our team as a Senior Food Contact Material Compliance Specialist. Based at our R&D Centre in Wageningen, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding product and consumer safety by ensuring packaging compliance across our global portfolio. You will work closely with two compliance specialists in the team and align with the Senior Expert on Food Contact Materials (FCM) compliance regarding new legal developments in the field.

What we ask

To become Senior Food Contact Material Compliance Specialist, you are/have:

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Packaging, Food Science/Technology or a related field.
• Ideally 7 years+ of relevant experience in food contact material regulation.
• Strong knowledge of European harmonized and national regulations; familiarity with FDA, China GB, and other international regulations is a strong plus.
• Affinity with data management systems and experience with tools such as SAP-PLM, PowerBI, and Excel.
• A proactive, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills and presentation skills (fluency in English).

As Senior Food Contact Material Compliance Specialist you are part of the R&D Packaging Department. This is an international community with 30+ colleagues are based in Wageningen (the Netherlands), Singapore and multiple countries in Europe and Asia. Indeed, we see a mix of personalities and cultures as the perfect breeding ground for innovations. Our team members hold at least a bachelor's degree, gained experience with working in different cultures and are above average interested in consumer behaviour or technology. They cooperate to achieve our ambitious targets.
