About the job:

As our new Plant Controller, you will be responsible for preparing periodical management reports and analyzing the income statement, balance sheet and CF statement of our Amsterdam Fertilizer plant and for the consolidated management reporting for the ICL Europe Business Units of Amsterdam & Ludwigshafen.

You will therefore act as a business partner for the European plants in Europe, helping them through value added reports and analyses in order to facilitate decision making.

In more detail, you will:

• Assist in the preparation of the 5 year strategic plan, budget and forecasting for the European plants.
• Analyze BU operations to evaluate performance and determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement or policy change.
• Assist in planning and coordination of OPEX and CAPEX for the BU, including feasibility studies and NPV, payback and IRR calculations for investment proposals.
• Prepare management reporting including fixed costs, product costing, production efficiency calculation and KPIs for European phosphate plants.
• Provide information regarding budgeting / forecasting to the SBE for TP purposes.
• Review actuals, budget and forecasts for the European phosphate plants.
• Review stock movements and reconcile the stock count results and stock confirmations to the inventory Sub ledger.
• Perform impairment testing on inventory.
• Calculate the unrealized profit for inventory inside the European Fertilizer segment.
• Assists in the preparation of benchmark studies.
• Provide ad hoc advice to business partners based on performance analysis.

About you

To be succesful, you will need to bring a Master's degree (in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration) and at least 5 years of relevant working experience, with 3 of those in business controlling. This way you have acquired s olid knowledge and understanding of one or more core finance and controlling processes. You have a business orientation and are a dedicated team player with a pragmatic approach.

Moreover, you

• have experience in working with global processes in an international environment
• are able to work independently and have strongly developed analytical skills
• have excellent social and communication skills in Dutch and in English, in writing and verbally (in addition: German is a plus).
• are organized, proactive and a flexible person with hands on mentality
• Experience with SAP (FI-CO modules) and XL.
