Job description

As a Tax Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team. You will advise our group about various types of taxes, such as corporate income tax, wage tax, and VAT for all European countries where we operate. In this position, you'll be based in Amsterdam.

This is what you're going to do

• Ensure tax compliance for corporate income tax, wage tax and VAT for all European countries we operate in.

• Work with tax advisors and the finance team on timely filing of the corporate income tax

• Pro-actively advice the board about the tax position of the group.

• Identify tax risks and opportunities and translate these into concrete advice.

• Responsible for the communication between audit companies and CEO/CFO/Finance team and assist in European tax audits.

• Pro-actively contribute to tax awareness in the organization.

You are a self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities. You can make connections effortlessly and you're not afraid to give advice, even unsolicited. Of course, we don't expect you to have knowledge of all the different tax laws in European countries but you're willing to delve into this.

Additionally, you bring:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience within a similar corporate position or within a tax advisory firm.

• Knowledge of various types of taxes: corporate income tax, wage tax and VAT where corporate income tax is the primary focus

• Profound knowledge of fiscal unities, reinvestment reserves, transfer pricing, tax deductibility regulations, etc

• Fulltime availability.

• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.

• Proficiency in English.
