HMSHost is the educator in the Hospitality industry. You can work and follow an eduational program at the same time via our HMSHost S.Alt Academy.

At HMSHost we let you experience the hospitality industry by taking you to places you would otherwise never visit. And to introduce you to people you would never meet otherwise. Together we will teach you skills that will take you further in your career.

We are always looking for ambitious people who have everything in them to become a manager and who want to follow a recognized MBO program for Shift Manager or Assistant Hostpitality Manager via our S.Alt Academy!

What's different then?

You will follow the program during your work hours and immediately put the theory into practice and work towards a recognized diploma. In addition to the fixed themes of the training, the most important organizational guidelines and processes of HMSHost are discussed. Our colleagues from our purchasing and financial departments will teach you the tricks of the trade. In addition, you will also go out and get to know our suppliers and you will receive an in-house experience and exclusive guest lectures. We immerse you and let you discover and experience everything.

What's it like to manage on the job?

For example, as a Shift Manager you are the inspiring captain of a team. It's up to you to make your colleagues shine towards our guests. Challenging, because a lot is coming at your team. Like orders. Not a few. But sometimes hundreds per shift. You ensure that orders are processed quickly and properly, so that guests are getting a ''wow feeling''. Before the shift starts, you arrange the preparations. Is everything organized logically? Which colleague will do what? And what do you want them to pay extra attention to? As soon as the shift starts, you coach colleagues on-the-job. As a manager, you cheerfully scatter tips & tricks, monitor quality and encourage hospitality.

What type of manager are we looking for?

• One who feels at home in the hospitality industry, as a guest and as an employee.
• Wants to become the type of leader who inspires and improves team members.
• Is someone who always gives team members all the credit for successes.

The Program

• You go to school one day a week together with your fellow S.Alt colleague students.
• The training lasts a total of two years and you will receive a recognized diploma.
• You have completed and completed a MBO 3, Havo or VMBO TL.
• Costs for the training will be covered by HMSHost and you will receive an employment contract.
• With this training you will discover what you are already good at as a leader and you will grow in the field by focusing on your development as a manager with responsible tasks and activities.
• You get to know our suppliers and their logistics processes and share their successes. In addition, you make fun practical assignments.
