As Payroll & HR Administrator you will handle a varied range of tasks - no two days are the same. You are part of the HR team, responsible for the accurate processing of payroll and the smooth execution of day-to-day HR administration across the organization.

You ensure that salaries are processed correctly and on time, employee records are up to date, and HR processes run efficiently and reliably. With your eye for detail and service-oriented mindset, you are a key point of contact for colleagues with payroll and HR-related questions. By maintaining clear communication and well-organized administration, you contribute to a professional and supportive work environment where employees can focus on what they do best.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities consist of:

• Serve as the first point of contact for shore-based and seafaring personnel regarding payroll, allowances, and leave.
• Process monthly payroll changes for shore staff and seafarers.
• Manage HR administration, including employee insurance, onboarding and offboarding, contract preparation, and interim employment changes.
• Provide administrative support during the HR annual cycle, such as collecting data for bonuses and salary reviews.
• Actively contribute to improvement projects within Payroll & HR administration.

• A Payroll & HR support professional who can work independently as well as in a small team.
• Organized, accurate, and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive and curious, willing to deepen your knowledge of payroll and HR topics and share improvement suggestions with colleagues.
• Committed to delivering high-quality service that supports strong and sustainable employee relationships.

Job Requirements

• Dutch-speaking.
• MBO4-level (or equivalent) in Personnel & Organization.
• Certified in Payroll Administration (Praktijkdiploma Loonadministratie, PDL).
• Experience with payroll in the maritime sector (seafarers) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Team player, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of AFAS and/or Exact HRSG is a plus.
• Available for 32-40 hours per week.
• Based in the Rotterdam area.
