Your Day

Your day starts with a nice cup of tea or coffee. Then, your morning kicks off with a coaching moment. A junior manager has a question about a client's financial statements - instead of giving the answer right away, you guide them through the logic. You enjoy helping others develop, and seeing their confidence grow gives you energy and a smile - a great start to the day.

At 10:00 AM, you have a client call. It's with an ambitious scale-up, and you've been their trusted advisor for a while. Today, you walk them through their Q2 results, provide input on a new growth plan, and share some professional insights. You end the meeting knowing that you've added real value your client can rely on - and that they feel supported and in control.

Later in the morning, you review a compilation file prepared by a team member. It's solid work - you suggest a few improvements and share your review notes. Afterwards, you join a short session with a tax advisor to align on a shared client - because at JOINSON&SPICE, collaboration is in our DNA.

In the afternoon, you participate in an internal meeting to refine our advisory roadmap. You contribute your insights to help structure new ways of working, enabling the team to work smarter, not harder. Later, you spend time with your own clients or coach a colleague who's on their way to a more senior role.

You wrap up the day by checking your portfolio and pipeline, preparing for tomorrow's meetings, and sharing a quick win with the team. You don't just deliver compliance - you build trust, enable growth, and shape the future of our advisory team.

✅ What You'll Do

• Manage your own client portfolio and act as a sparring partner and trusted advisor

• Lead and review compilation assignments, tax projects (VAT, corporate income tax, and personal income tax), and various advisory projects

• Deliver clear, practical advice and insights that go beyond the numbers

• Coach and mentor the advisory team

• Ensure quality and consistency in the team's output

• Collaborate with other internal or external professionals (audit, tax, legal, payroll, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions

• Participate in projects such as PowerBI dashboarding for advisory clients

• Improve internal processes and contribute to the growth of our advisory practice

Job requirements

What You Bring

• A completed HBO or university degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field

• RA or AA certification (or in the final stage of your studies) is a plus

• At least 10 years of experience in accountancy or financial advisory, preferably with small to mid-sized growing companies

• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting and administrative standards

• Fluent Dutch, with solid communication skills in English

• A quality-focused mindset, hands-on mentality, coaching style, and client-oriented approach

• You are structured, proactive, and confident in your advice - yet always open to learning
