Lean Specialist - Lelystad Platform

Driving Continuous Improvement at GXO

At our fast-growing logistics hub in Lelystad , we are looking for a Lean Specialist who can turn data into action, coach teams in LEAN behaviours and drive measurable improvements across the site.

You play a crucial role in embedding a culture of safety, operational discipline and continuous improvement in one of the largest and most advanced logistics platforms in the Netherlands.

What your week looks likeas a Lean Specialist

• Analyze operational, quality, safety and productivity data to identify improvement opportunities and build clear business cases
• Lead LEAN, Kaizen and 5S activities to standardize processes, eliminate waste and strengthen daily operational performance
• Develop and implement control parameters and standards, ensuring improvements are embedded and measured through KPIs
• Deliver LEAN training and workshops, prepare materials and support team members and leaders in adopting new work methods
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, QESH, Engineering and Finance to drive change and replicate best practices
• Report results, risks and opportunities to your direct manager and contribute to the site's continuous improvement roadmap
• Support sustainability initiatives, reducing waste and improving efficient use of energy, water and fuel

What we are looking for

• MBO-level education in logistics, supply chain or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in operational improvement, LEAN or continuous improvement within logistics or manufacturing
• Practical LEAN knowledge (Kaizen, 5S, standard work) with the ability to coach others and guide workshops
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, able to translate data into concrete actions and measurable results
• Clear communication skills in English, with Dutch or Spanish an advantage and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Proactive, resilient and disciplined, with a strong commitment to quality, ownership and continuous learning
• A collaborative mindset, able to motivate others and positively influence change across departments
