Your function

We are looking for an enthusiastic Tactical Purchaser to strengthen our Purchase department. In this role, you will ensure optimal management and utilization of our supplier portfolio and relations. You will create and manage clear agreements with suppliers and support our Operational Purchasers in performing their tasks effectively and efficiently. Additionally, you will actively pursue cost savings, quality improvements, and effective risk management. Through your technical knowledge of both the products and the production capabilities of our suppliers, you ensure that AEGIR-Marine can procure against the best conditions. You represent AEGIR-Marine and her interests to the outside world and ensure her internal needs are translated into the right requirements for our suppliers.

Other relevant aspects of this role:

• You maintain and develop relationships with existing suppliers
• You prepare and manage agreements and contracts, ensuring accurate documentation in administrative systems.
• You identify internal organizational needs and align these with supplier capabilities.
• You manage and optimize inventory levels, actively working to reduce stock where possible.
• You stay actively engaged with the market and represent AEGIR-Marine externally.
• You monitor and manage ordering parameters within Slim4.
• You source new products requested by Sales or Product Groups.
• You provide technical input and gather necessary information from within the organization.
• You identify and mitigate risks such as single sourcing and financial vulnerabilities.
• You proactively identify, initiate and carry through (improvement) projects that arise in your portfolio.

Your profile

• Qualified with an MBO or HBO degree in Purchasing or Logistics.
• NEVI 1 certification (NEVI 2 preferred).
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Capable of understanding and reading a technical drawing
• Have at least 5 years of purchasing experience in the maritime industry
