Parktheater Eindhoven is one of the larger theaters in the Netherlands and, with a broad programming of over 400 performances per theater season, annually reaches about 200,000 visitors from Eindhoven and its surroundings.

The Parktheater aims to be a theater for everyone and therefore has a very diverse programming. We want to touch the audience and contribute to beautiful encounters of theater makers with the audience. In our current mission More than you ... we constantly seek connection with current and new audiences. Parktheater is at the center of society and is involved in and initiates various social projects. We are an innovative and flat organization that works from the own responsibility and contribution of the employees.

Our plans for 2025-2028 have past event positively received and are supported by a grant from the Culture Eindhoven Foundation. For the continue translation of these plans and the continuous improvements we are looking for reinforcement in the form of a Facility Manager (32-40 hours).

The challenge

As Facility Manager at Parktheater Eindhoven you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the facility and play technical processes. The Parktheater is not only a cultural institution, but also a place that wants to offer its visitors an experience of the highest quality. You make sure that the building, the (play) technical installations and the facilities are the calling card of the theater and contribute to a hospitable, safe and sustainable theater environment.

What will you do?

• You will be in charge of the Facilities Department, Theatre Technology, as well as Cleaning. This includes managing the teams, ensuring the quality of service and continuously improving service delivery and cooperation.
• You are ultimately responsible for the optimal functioning of the building and stage-technical installations. You develop, implement and monitor the multi-year maintenance plan (MJOP) and ensure that everything is in top condition for the long term.
• You ensure that the building is always hospitable, safe and optimally functioning: for visitors, artists, companies and colleagues. You oversee compliance with laws and regulations, including safety, working conditions and the environment, and act proactively regarding risks or malfunctions.
• As a member of the leadership team, you will advise the management and other executives on facility and technical matters, both on a strategic and operational level.
• You will negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts and ensure efficient operations within your area of work, with a keen eye for budget management and cost optimization.

What do you bring?

• You have an HBO or WO working and thinking level, preferably with an education in Technical Management, Facility Management, Events Administration or a similar direction, supplemented with extensive experience in a management position
• Experience within the cultural, hospitality or similar sector is desirable.
• You have experience managing teams across multiple disciplines and possess strong leadership skills. You know how to motivate and develop people in a dynamic working environment.
• You have knowledge of building management, maintenance, safety, sustainability and the relevant laws and regulations.
• You have the ability to work both strategically and hands-on and know how to set the right priorities, even in complex situations.
• You are able to transcend interests, without losing sight of parties, for the success of the Parktheater.
• You have excellent communication skills and persuasiveness, and as a connector you are proactive and flexible in your work attitude.
• You have affinity with the cultural sector and the theater events and know how to make a building, facilities and theatre technology contribute to the experience of the audience.

• A salary appropriate to the challenge of the position (scale 11 € 4,454.18 with a maximum of € 6,222.10).

• The Parktheater has its own terms of employment and is not affiliated with a collective bargaining agreement.

• Attractive fringe benefits including a year-end bonus (6.75%), 8% vacation allowance, pension accrual with ABP, 25 vacation days and 8 ADV days based on full-time employment (40 hours), good training opportunities, a learning and development voucher worth €500 and a staff scheme for visiting performances.

The start date is negotiable, but preferably as soon as possible.
