About the role:

This engineer designs and builds modern SaaS products with a strong emphasis on user experience. The role involves close collaboration with product management to deliver intuitive solutions for all stakeholders.

Possible teams and focus areas:

• SQL Analytics Console: Build the console for executing BI and SQL workloads directly on the data lake.

• Jobs and Workflows: Focus on stability and scalability of asynchronous workloads, including new features for advanced workflows and observability.

• Developer Ecosystem: Improve the developer experience outside the workspace and maintain open-source components like the SDK, CLI and Terraform.

• Neon Backend as a Service: Design core primitives and services (auth, data API, email) powering AI agents and developer workflows.

Requirements:

• Passion for user experience and strong understanding of frontend architecture.

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js/Ember).

• Strong familiarity with server-side technologies (Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go, JVM).

• Experience designing, developing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
