Job description

As a Chemical Analyst, you will be responsible for performing a range of instrumental chemical analyses on food products. Analysis that you might be performing are determination of nutritional values and measuring presence of toxic substances and/or pesticides. 

You will use chromatography techniques like HPLC, LC-MS and GC-MS. Ensuring accurate and reliable results and maintaining a safe and well-organised laboratory environment are key aspects of this role.

For this laboratory position, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented laboratory professional with the following profile:

• A completed Bachelor’s degree (HLO) in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years work experience with chromatography, such as HPLC and/or GC, optionally combined with MS or MS/MS
• A hands-on mindset and strong attention to detail
• An enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude
• It is a plus if you speak Dutch
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is a must
• You are eligible to work in The Netherlands and live within a 45 minute commute of Rotterdam-Zuid. 

You will join a growing, internationally operating company within the food & feed sector. The atmosphere within the company is informal and pleasant . Together with a friendly and dedicated team, you will work on precise and reliable analyses while keeping the laboratory safe and tidy. 

Terms and benefits:

• Permanent job, starting with a temporary (12 month) contract
• Fulltime job; 32 hours/week is an option
• Salary in line with market standards; €2,900 to €3,800 gross per month, depending on previous work experience  
• Opportunity to develop good chromatography skills and gain a lot of hands-on experience 
• Other benefits such as: Travel allowance and a Dutch language course
