We are now looking for an experienced (Senior) Global Compliance Officer to join our Legal team and lead 's Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Program globally. This is a highly visible, strategic role where you'll ensure that our growth continues to be guided by the highest standards of ethics, governance, and responsible conduct - across all regions, functions, and leadership levels.

You will report to the General Counsel & Company Secretary and be based in Amsterdam (city center) or Gorinchem , with hybrid flexibility.

Your role

As a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee and senior business leaders, you will:

• Champion and strengthen 's global ethics and compliance culture by embedding our renewed Compliance Framework worldwide.
• Provide oversight and governance of our E&C program, ensuring alignment with 's values and Code of Business Conduct .
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the effectiveness of compliance initiatives.
• Oversee Speak Up processes, investigations, and incident reporting, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability.
• Partner with regional Business Conduct Coordinators to build and engage a global network of compliance champions.
• Design and deliver impactful communication and training programs that inspire ethical awareness and behavior.
• Advise senior leadership on emerging E&C risks, global regulatory developments, and best practices.

This role combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership , requiring both insight and action to ensure continues to operate with integrity - everywhere we do business.

What you bring

• A Master's degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in ethics, compliance, audit, or risk management within an internationally operating (preferably listed) company.
• Proven experience in global or cross-regional compliance roles (Europe and ideally the US).
• A strong track record of driving change, managing complex projects, and building trust across diverse teams and cultures.
• Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills - able to translate complex compliance topics into practical, business-oriented guidance.
• Sound judgment, integrity, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
