Vacancy Secretary

The Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Almere makes it possible for children and young people from low-income families to participate in football, music lessons, gymnastics, street dance, judo, swimming, or other sporting or creative activities. Do you want to contribute to a sporty and creative future for children up to 18? Then this is your chance! The Jeugdfonds board is looking for a secretary, effective immediately. The secretary is a key member of the board, serving as the link between the treasurer and chair.

Duties of the Secretary:

• Prepare (in consultation with the chairman) and report on board meetings
• Developing (in consultation with the chairman and treasurer) a multi-year plan/policy plan and grant applications
• Drafting and monitoring the annual cycle Jeugdfonds Sports and Culture Almere
• Handling complex correspondence (by email, in writing) and decisions
• Drawing up and monitoring the schedule of resignation
• Prepare and approve the annual report in collaboration with the treasurer
• Monitor contract register/obligation registration in collaboration with coordinator and treasurer
• Monitoring and recording facility matters, such as housing, automation, insurance, Chamber of Commerce registration, etc.

Our organization and the board

Our organization exists thanks to subsidies, funds, sponsorship, and the efforts of many volunteer intermediaries, providers, and board members. The board consists of passionate Almere volunteers who enjoy working together as a collegial board. The board is responsible for the fund's operations. Implementation falls to the coordinators and back-office staff of Jeugdfonds Sport en Cultuur Almere. The responsibilities of all board members are defined, and each board member has their own authority within the board.

The average time commitment is 4 hours per week. Board meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
