Job description

We are Conscious Group, we offer the most sustainable stay and a seamless guest experience in a fun atmosphere. We have 5 sustainable hotels, 1 organic restaurants and 4 coffee bars within Conscious Hotels, and together with Hotel V & The Lobby we have grown to a total of 9 hotels and 3 restaurants. Now, Conscious Group is looking for a Finance Intern starting from January. Sounds like something for you? Read on!

The Finance team of Conscious Group consists of 10 colleagues. As our new Finance intern you will support the team with a variety of financial tasks and projects. You will be able to develop yourself and learn a lot about this field within the hotel industry.

For this internship we are not looking for people who only want to dig into numbers but especially for people who want to learn what goes on in a company and what is important. You will learn all the ins and outs of the hotel and will see what entrepreneurship entails. You get the chance to be part of a team where your knowledge and input is important and where you get the space to come up with your own ideas and possibly implement them.

• Processing all financial and accounting data;

• Affinity and knowledge with setting up financial systems;

• Optimize our new invoice process system;

• Accurate booking of invoices and preparation of payments;

• Processing all data of (new) debtors and creditors;

• Follow up of accounts receivable management and accounts payable payments;

• Preparing reports (e.g. month-end closing, time analyses, etc.);

• Identifying and correcting any discrepancies, after which you inform the department managers;

• Being part of ad hoc requests and projects;

• For internships longer than 6 months we work towards independent financial management of one of our hotels.

Job requirements

What are we looking for?

• You are a HBO student (hospitality or finance related, but other fields of study are also welcome);

• You have an interest in all financial aspects of a company. You are accurate and analytical;

• You have high integrity (you can keep sensitive information with you);

• You are looking for a collaboration / graduation internship of at least 5 months;

• You are enthusiastic, independent and proactive;

• You speak Dutch and English fluently and have a good sense of language;

• You live in or near Amsterdam;

• You like to have a good time, which is not unimportant :)
