As a Category Specialist, you are the right hand of the (Senior) Category Manager for Europe. Together, you ensure that the product range in all European countries aligns optimally with market needs. You are responsible for assortment management, supplier relationships, pricing proposals, and identifying commercial opportunities.

We are a growing international organisation operating in the retail sector. 130 colleagues work together in the headquarters of Eindhoven where we have an office and warehouse. We focus on the European market.

Omschrijving

As category specialist:

• Manage a broad assortment and maintain relationships with (new) suppliers
• Carry out commercial activities by analyzing data and KPIs to improve commercial performance
• Monitor market developments and propose new product categories
• Act as the point of contact for sales, purchasing, and finance teams across Europe
• Initiate, contribute to, and implement process optimizations and improvements to product presentations (including online)
• Independently resolve escalations related to products or deliveries

Profiel van kandidaat

A successful category specialist should have:

• You are curious, proactive, take initiative, and have a strong commercial drive to make improvements
• You fit well within an informal, dynamic organization where you can be yourself
• Higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working (through education or experience)
• At least 2 years of experience as category specialist or buyer
• Strong command of English (Dutch is a plus)
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Creative, solution-oriented, and communicative

Aanbod

• A competitive salary between €40.000 and €50.000, depending on experience
• 25 vacation days, with the option to purchase 5 additional days
• Bonus potential of 3% of the annual salary
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km, up to a maximum of 75 km one way
