We're hiring a Client Relationship Manager. Someone with a background in or strong passion for natural history or biodiversity background or passion, who loves connecting with people.

The Role

We're looking for someone with a background in or strong passion for natural history or biodiversity background or passion, who loves connecting with people.

Your understanding of scientific collections, taxonomy, biodiversity data or collection workflows helps you connect authentically with curators, collection managers and researchers at natural history institutions across the EMEA & APAC regions. You use this insight to bring in new digitization projects.

Picturae digitizes biodiversity and natural history collections for leading institutions worldwide. With innovative, in-house developed hard- and software and an informal, international atmosphere, we help make irreplaceable collections accessible for research and the public.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with museums, herbaria and universities, with a clear understanding of their scientific priorities and collection workflows
• Keep yourself up to date on the latest methods, standards and debates in natural history and biodiversity digitization so you can speak with clients at eye level
• Identify new leads through research, outreach and conferences
• Translate client needs into clear proposals and feasible digitization projects
• Provide insights for marketing and communication to ensure our messaging reflects sector realities and trends
• Support the development of forecasts and the global sales sales.

What You'll Bring

• A genuine interest in natural history, biodiversity or scientific collections
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1-2 Years of relevant work experience is a plus, not a requirement
• Interest in natural heritage, biodiversity or scientific collections
• An existing network in the biodiversity field is a plus
• Affinity for technology and the ability to understand how digitization tools work in practice
• Strong communication skills and ease working across cultures
• Willingness to travel internationally, mainly EMEA and APAC
• Fluency in English
