The opportunity

As a Project Forwarder, you are the key link in outsourcing and managing transport assignments. You translate requests from the operations department into external outsourcing orders and select the right transport companies to carry them out. In doing so, you always take quality, safety, and healthy profit margins into account.

You build and maintain an international network of transport companies and record these relationships professionally in our project management system. Together with the operations team, you contribute to the efficient and safe execution of projects.

What are your tasks & responsibilities?

• Converting requests into external transport orders;
• Determining price levels in consultation with the operations team;
• Ensuring correct administrative processing and release of orders;
• Checking that subcontractors comply with all requirements and regulations;
• Identifying and reporting deviations to the Operations Manager;
• Maintaining relationships with subcontractors and keeping performance records;
• Contributing to incident and complaint investigations;
• Continuously working on process improvements.

What do you bring?

• An MBO-level education (minimum);
• A network of transport companies within Europe is a plus;
• Strong communication skills and stress resistance;
• Ability to maintain oversight and solve problems quickly;
• Flexibility in working hours (occasional evenings/weekends for special projects);
• A team player who can also work independently;
• Good computer skills and experience with various software systems.
