Senior Financial Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen the Group Finance team. This role is responsible for the accounting, administration and reporting of the holding companies. The Group Finance team has eleven team members and reports to the CFO. The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Group Financial Controller.

Specific responsibilities:

• Maintain the administration of the holding companies in Workday Finance.
• Perform all activities month-end closing and reporting for consolidation purposes.
• Obtain intercompany confirmations and ensure balance reconcile.
• Invoice and collect external and internal revenue.
• File tax (VAT) returns jointly with the Group Tax Manager.
• Maintain clean and adequately supported balance sheet positions.
• Various admin activities related to other core activities.
• Assist with and perform activities for the annual year-end and Group audit (e.g. IFRS 9 and 16).
• Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecast for the holding companies.
• Continuous review and improvement processes, e.g. business processes in Workday Finance.

Qualifications and experience:

• BA or Masters degree in financial accounting or auditing.
• Experienced financial accountant with 6-8 years experience.
• Good knowledge and understanding of IFRS.
• Strong Excel skills and preferable experience with Workday Finance.
• Work experience in an international setting.
• Fluent in English and good understanding of Dutch.
• Eye for detail but also able to take a helicopter view and strong analytical skills.
• Pro-active self-starter taking ownership.
• Good communicator and team player.
