Vacancy: Information Security Officer

Location: Schiedam

The IT department at Jumbo Maritime is responsible for our global maritime operations by delivering secure, reliable technology services across vessels and shore offices. The team manages core infrastructure, business applications, and user support, safeguards information security and compliance, and partners with the business to drive digitalization and data-driven improvements-ensuring resilient connectivity, efficient collaboration, and protected information. For our ICT department we are looking for an Information Security Officer.

As an Information Security Officer at Jumbo Maritime, you are the driving force behind further professionalizing our information security. You are responsible for developing, implementing, and safeguarding policies, processes, and procedures in IT security. You work closely with colleagues in a small, tight-knit team and know better than anyone how to create buy-in for security at all levels of the organization.

MAIN

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drafting, maintaining, and promoting the information security policy and procedures;
• Coordinating the risk management process and advising on mitigating measures;
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and laws and regulations;
• Preparing for and guiding internal and external audits;
• Identifying and reporting risks to management and executive leadership;
• Coordinating incident response processes and the follow-up of security incidents.

WE

REQUIRE

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT security role, supported by a relevant Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with relevant information security certifications and frameworks;
• Skilled in translating complex information security issues into clear and practical policy measures;
• Able to balance compliance requirements with operational practicality and business objectives;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels;
• Analytical, decisive, and collaborative-comfortable working within a small team.
• Able to identify risks and opportunities and take initiative immediately;
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English.
